Participants will learn the best practices for making, trimming, burnishing, firing the wares in the camp fire rings at the beach and discuss finishing options for after the firing.

We will meet in the studio for three days for making, and then meet on the beach for the firing.Hand built wares and wheel works are both welcomed. Some clay experience is required to keep pace with this workshop.

Saturday, February 7th* (8:00AM-5:00PM) - Pit Firing at Pine Tree State Park in Santa Cruz

*If there is poor weather on Saturday, February 7th, firing will be moved to Sunday, February 8th
